Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs in Light: Review & Pictures!

It's that time of year where I'm starting to want to look tan. I don't use a tanning bed because that's just a no and not safe. I don't spray tan because I have a fear of looking orange afterwards. And I can't really tan outside yet because it's only been in the 60's for the high temperature lately. So, my only option right now is self tanner. I've had good and bad luck with self tanners in the past. I got sent the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs and decided to give it a try. I'll admit and say, I didn't have my hopes up when it came to this just because of my issues with self tanners in the past. This one actually turned out to be really nice!

I chose the color light, and was really impressed with the amount of color that light gave my legs! The formulation of this self tanner is pretty thick and creamy. Not too runny. And since it wasn't too runny, that really helped it smooth in evenly on my legs and not look streaky. I was really impressed with how it covered the spots on my legs, especially how it covered my cat scratches! Yes, cat scratches. Oliver climbed up my leg when I was wearing shorts. Not fun.

I was also impressed with how fast this self tanner dried! That's what I hate the most about self tanner is how long it takes to dry and when it rubs off on my clothes. This dried fast and no tan on my clothing! This self tanner is also water resistant.

Here's a picture where you guys can see the color on my legs. Also, on my toes I'm wearing Sally Hansen Fuchsia Power!

You can find this tanner at any drugstore for around $14. This also comes in 5 different shades, perfect to match any skin tone!

*FTC: The Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs in Light was sent to me by Influenster for review. All opinions are my own!

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation: Review & Demo!

Recently I reviewed the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless foundation and loved it! Today, I'm going to be sharing with you guys the Maybelline Fit Me foundation. I bought this in the shade 115 Ivory. I should've bought it in 110 Porcelain, but they didn't have that shade at the time when I was buying this. I think this color will be a good color for when I'm more tan in the summer, because my face really doesn't get too tan.

This foundation is supposed to give natural coverage, while feeling lightweight. This foundation also has an SPF of 18.

I really like this foundation! I like the coverage. I feel like it has light to medium coverage. It covered my acne scar and my dark circles really well. It doesn't feel heavy on my skin, which is really nice. The only thing I wasn't too crazy about was that it has more of a dewy finish, which isn't a big deal. I just prefer a more matte finish, like the matte and poreless gives. Dewey finishes are really nice in the summer time though. But other than that, I was pretty impressed with this foundation!

Here is my face with no foundation. Please excuse the derp face, forgot to take an actual picture so I took a screenshot from my video haha!

Here is my face after applying the foundation. As you guys can see it covered the redness on my face and my dark circles.

And here is a picture of my face with a full face of makeup on with the foundation. As you guys can see, it does leave a dewy finish.

So overall, I do really like this foundation! The coverage is nice, just don't really like the dewy finish it has.

Over on my YouTube channel I did a demo and first impressions of this foundation:

I found this at Ulta for around $8. You can pick this up at any drugstore.

Have you guys tried this foundation? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!

Maybelline Matte & Poreless Foundation: Review & Demo!

If you've been a follower of mine for  awhile, you would know that I've never been to into drugstore foundations. But, there comes a time when paying $45 for a foundation becomes a little too much. I recently came across the Maybelline Mate and Poreless foundation, and decided to give it a try! Maybelline is my all time favorite drugstore brand, so I kind of figured this foundation would be pretty amazing. And I was right. It is pretty amazing!

A little background information about the foundation: This foundation works best for someone with normal to oily skin. It's supposed to minimize the appearance of pores. And give you a matte finish.

Here's a picture of my face before I applied the foundation. All that I have on is just my daily moisturizer. As you guys can see, I have some darkness around my eyes and some redness on my cheeks and chin.

Here is a picture of me with the foundation on. I bought this foundation in the shade 112 Natural Ivory. I feel like it matched my skin tone pretty well. As you guys can see, around my eyes is lighter and the redness is completely covered! My skin is also really matte looking. I also used a Beauty Blender to apply this foundation.

And then here is a picture of me with a full face of makeup on. I wanted to show you guys the finish of this foundation with powder, bronzer, and blush over it.

My thoughts on the foundation:

This foundation has light to medium coverage. It really covered the redness on my face and the darkness around my eyes. It's a lightweight foundation, which is nice because I don't like the feeling of anything too heavy on my skin. Especially in the summer time! This foundation gave my face a matte finish, which I love! And this foundation wears really well. Throughout the day my t-zone usually gets really oily and shiny and sometimes my foundation will start to move. When I wore this foundation, it stayed in place on my t-zone! It didn't smear throughout the day, even when it was really hot out.

Overall, I'm really impressed with this foundation. It's my new favorite!

I did a demo of this foundation and kind of my first impressions of it over on my YouTube channel:

I purchased this foundation at Ulta for around $8. You can find this at any place that sells Maybelline products.

Have you guys tried this foundation? What do you think of it? Let me know in the comments!

April Favorites | 2015

It's May 1st which means two things. 1. It's time to share my April favorites with you guys. And 2. It's the first day of my new series! First, let's talk new series. As you guys know, I took a little break from YouTube. I wasn't feeling very inspired with my videos, and because I wasn't inspired I felt like I would just end up uploading content that you guys wouldn't enjoy seeing. During this break, I came up with a whole bunch of video ideas. I also decided that when I came back to YouTube, I needed to come back with a bang…or something like that. I decided that I was going to upload a video every other day in May or every odd day. This series is going to have some makeup videos, DIY decor, and maybe a baking video. Spring cupcakes anyone? :)

I'm also going to be having a couple of giveaways this month! I'm really excited for the giveaways because I've never had a giveaway before. I'm just overall really excited for this series this month. I hope you guys are excited too!

Okay, now let's talk about April favorites! I don't really have a lot of favorites from last month. Just a few things to share with you guys. One of those things being the Lorac Pro Palette. Oh my goodness, I just can't stop talking about this palette! It's AMAZING!

I uploaded a video talking about my favorites for the month of April. You can see that here:

What are your favorite products from April? Let me know in the comments below! :)

Hope you guys have a great Friday!

Lorac Pro Palette: Review & Swatches!

I am so excited for this blog post! As you guys know, I recently finally got my hands on the Lorac Pro Palette. This is a palette that I've been wanting for a really long time but just never bought. This palette is absolutely gorgeous! I just can't describe to you guys how much I love this palette! Also, a huge shoutout and thank you to my Auntie for buying me this palette!

The palette itself is actually pretty thin. It's not super bulky, which is nice because it won't take up too much room in my makeup collection. The palette has a smooth feel to it. Along with the palette you also get a mini size of the Lorac Behind The Scenes primer. For some reason I didn't take a picture of the primer, but it's not too bad! I found it kept my eyeshadows on all day and they didn't crease. I've heard that this primer is great for people with oily eyelids. I don't have oily eyelids so I can't tell you if that's true or not.

The palette comes with 8 shimmer eyeshadows and 8 matte eyeshadows. I think it has such a great variety of eyeshadow colors. These eyeshadows are so buttery and pigmented. The first time I swatched the palette, I just couldn't believe how pigmented the eyeshadows are! These just apply so nicely and blend really well. I just love how there's enough matte eyeshadows that if you wanted to do a completely matte look, you could.

Now it's time for swatches! The first picture is of the first row. Cream is pretty close to my skin color, so it's really hard to see the swatch of that one.

This picture is the swatches of row 2!

You can find this palette for around $40 at Kohls, Ulta, and the Lorac website!

What do you guys think of this palette? Let me know in the comments!

Music Festival Inspired Outfits!

Music festival season is officially upon us, and it's time to start thinking about what you're going to wear to all of the different festivals. Today, I want to help you guys with that! I picked some of my favorite pieces from different websites and made some outfits for you guys.

1. Classic Maxi

Maxi dresses are a music festival trend that I don't think will ever go out of style. I think they're super cute, and really comfortable.

2. Denim & Flowers

Denim shorts are seriously a must have for music festivals! They're super cute and comfy. I paired distressed denim shorts with a black top and strappy sandals. This might be my favorite look out of all of them! If you wanted to accessorize this look, I would say go with gold jewelry or gold accented sunglasses. I also put a backpack with this outfit. I think backpacks are amazing to take to festivals because you can put all of your stuff in it easily like snacks and water and other stuff you might need.

3. Kimono Style

Kimonos are really in right now, especially to wear to a music festival! I think they're super cute paired with denim shorts and a crop top. For shoes, I picked black booties. I think black booties are super cute paired with outfits like this one. For accessories, I would go with gold jewelry.

I hope this gives you some ideas on what to wear to music festivals this spring and summer! Let me know in the comments which outfit you liked best. :)

Spring Inspired Makeup Tutorial!

Hi guys! So I know it's been a little while since I've posted and I apologize for that. Life has been kind of crazy and I'd like to do an update post for you guys here on my beauty blog, because I do most of my lifestyle posts on my lifestyle blog Cats and Cappuccino. Anyways, I thought today it would be fun to do a spring inspired makeup tutorial! I haven't done a tutorial in a little while and April Fools Day just seemed like the perfect day to post a new tutorial.

This is a spring inspired look. I was really inspired by the colors of spring flowers and things coming back to life in spring. Like the leaves turn green in the spring. I used a lot of pink in this tutorial but if you recreate it you can use whatever colors you want because there are SO MANY different colors of flowers. I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial! It's different than anything I've ever done before!

Oh yeah…APRIL FOOLS! :)

Did I get you guys with this tutorial? Let me know! I thought it would be something fun and different. Hope you guys at least got a chuckle out of it! :)

Have a great Wednesday! :)
