ELF Blush Palette in Light: Review & Swatches!

It's no secret that I have an obsession with blush. I have so many in my personal collection, which doesn't make sense to me because there's only so much blush I can use! And then since I'm building my makeup artist kit more and more each day, I have a whole bunch in my kit which makes more sense because I need different colors for different clients skin tones. Anyways, when I saw that ELF had blush palettes I was like "Ummm YES!" I ended up just getting the palette in Light because that's the colors that work best for my fair skin. There is a Dark palette, which I'm thinking about getting to put into my makeup artist kit, and if I do I'll post a review!

It wouldn't be a normal Chelseamakeup14 review, if I didn't review the packaging. I really like this. I think it's a great size, especially for travel. The four colors in this palette would go with so many different eyeshadow looks, that you wouldn't need to pack any other blushes, just this palette.

Like I said, this quad comes with four different blush colors. You get a bubblegum pink color, a darker bubblegum pink color, a peachy color with glitter, and a bronzy color (which would be great for sculpting your face!). These blushes are insanely pigmented! When applying these, I have to remember to use a light hand because it's easy to get too much product. I think these wear really nicely, and I can continue to see color on my cheeks throughout the day.

Now here's a swatch of the blushes!

I found this blush palette at Target for around $6. I've also seen it at Walmart. You can also find it on the ELF website

Have you tried the ELF blush palette? What do y'all think? Let me know in the comments below! :)

L'Oreal Miss Manga Rock Mascara: Review & Pictures!

I was at Target the other day, and I came across the L'Oreal Miss Manga Rock mascara. I hadn't really heard anyone talking about it so I thought I'd just pick it up and review it for you guys! I never tried the original Miss Manga mascara, so I didn't really know what to expect with this one. It claimed that it would give my lashes lots of volume and a "spiky finish." Also, I did pick this up in the waterproof formula because it's summer and smearing mascara isn't cute. Got to use the waterproof this time of year!

The formulation of this mascara seemed awfully dry. I know that because it's waterproof, it's obviously going to be a little drier, but this was drier than any other waterproof mascara I've used. The first coat of mascara seemed to apply to my lashes really nicely. But I'm someone who doesn't just wear one coat of mascara, I usually wear two or three. So I went to apply the second coat. I noticed that this mascara didn't seem to layer very well. It also made my lashes VERY clumped together. I know that clumping adds volume, and I don't mind a little clumping but when it looked like I had five eyelashes that's when it becomes a problem.

I also found that this mascara didn't apply very well to my bottom lashes. That was kind of weird to me.

Here's a picture of the wand. I found the wand quite interesting because, there's bristles but they're super tiny. It surprisingly seemed to coat my lashes really well. Well, except the bottom lashes.

After wearing this mascara all day, it did stay on really well and didn't flake off.

Overall thoughts, not impressed. It did give me SOME volume, but it mostly just clumped my lashes together and made it look like I only had five huge lashes. In my video, I gave it two mascara wands out of five, and I'm sticking with that rating.

If you want to watch my video of me trying this mascara for the first time here it is:

I found this mascara at Target for around $7.

Have you guys tried this mascara? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! :)

NYX Matte Lipstick in Indie Flick: Review & Swatch!

Everyone knows that I love a bright lip color, especially around this time of year when I start to get a tan. But even if you're not tan, this color looks great on all skin tones! This lip color is BRIGHT. This is the NYX Matte Lipstick in Indie Flick. If you like matte lip colors and bright lip colors, then this is the lipstick for you! And you should probably keep reading, so you can find out more info about the lipstick.

Indie Flower is a really bright coral red. This color is VERY pigmented. I think it applies really smoothly. It's a matte lipstick, which I was kind of hesitant at first, but once I put the lipstick on I really liked the matte effect. This color wears really well and doesn't dry out on my lips. No settling into my lips or anything like that.

Now here's a swatch!

I got this at Target for around $6.

Would you wear this lip color? Also, what's your thoughts on matte lipsticks? Let me know in the comments! :)

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit in Light: Review & Swatches!

I've never been really too big on contouring, but recently I decided that I wanted to look into a contour kit to help me out with contouring my face. I decided to pick up the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit in Light. This kit features three light shades for highlighting, including a Banana powder which is amazing for highlighting under the eyes! And it features three different bronzers, for sculpting and contouring your face.

I think the colors in this kit are really pigmented. And what I love is that the bronzers look really natural! I was afraid that they might be too dark because I have really fair skin. And I had heard some people say they felt they looked orange. I really think they appear really natural on my skin, and they apply really nicely to my face. I think the highlighting shades are nicely pigmented and they apply really well. They add just enough highlight without looking too much.

I tried to swatch this palette and when I did the bronzers turned out really good, but because the highlighters are so close to my actual skin tone, it was a little hard to get a good picture of them.

Another really awesome thing about this kit is that when you run out of a color, you can just buy that color again and pop it into the kit!

Overall, really happy with my Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit!

You can find this at Sephora and Ulta for around $40.

What do you guys think of this contour kit? Do you like this one or another contour kit? Letme know in the comments! :)

Nail Of The Day: Essie Prima Ballerina

It's been a really long time since I've done a nail of the day post on the blog, so I thought I'd do one today! I've been loving Essie Prima Ballerina. It's a creamy, pale pink. I've really been into soft and pale nail polishes lately. I think they're really fun for spring and summer!

2 coats of polish, natural lighting

You can find this color at pretty much every drugstore for around $8.50.

What do you guys think of this color? Would you wear it? Let me know in the comments!

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs in Light: Review & Pictures!

It's that time of year where I'm starting to want to look tan. I don't use a tanning bed because that's just a no and not safe. I don't spray tan because I have a fear of looking orange afterwards. And I can't really tan outside yet because it's only been in the 60's for the high temperature lately. So, my only option right now is self tanner. I've had good and bad luck with self tanners in the past. I got sent the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs and decided to give it a try. I'll admit and say, I didn't have my hopes up when it came to this just because of my issues with self tanners in the past. This one actually turned out to be really nice!

I chose the color light, and was really impressed with the amount of color that light gave my legs! The formulation of this self tanner is pretty thick and creamy. Not too runny. And since it wasn't too runny, that really helped it smooth in evenly on my legs and not look streaky. I was really impressed with how it covered the spots on my legs, especially how it covered my cat scratches! Yes, cat scratches. Oliver climbed up my leg when I was wearing shorts. Not fun.

I was also impressed with how fast this self tanner dried! That's what I hate the most about self tanner is how long it takes to dry and when it rubs off on my clothes. This dried fast and no tan on my clothing! This self tanner is also water resistant.

Here's a picture where you guys can see the color on my legs. Also, on my toes I'm wearing Sally Hansen Fuchsia Power!

You can find this tanner at any drugstore for around $14. This also comes in 5 different shades, perfect to match any skin tone!

*FTC: The Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs in Light was sent to me by Influenster for review. All opinions are my own!

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation: Review & Demo!

Recently I reviewed the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless foundation and loved it! Today, I'm going to be sharing with you guys the Maybelline Fit Me foundation. I bought this in the shade 115 Ivory. I should've bought it in 110 Porcelain, but they didn't have that shade at the time when I was buying this. I think this color will be a good color for when I'm more tan in the summer, because my face really doesn't get too tan.

This foundation is supposed to give natural coverage, while feeling lightweight. This foundation also has an SPF of 18.

I really like this foundation! I like the coverage. I feel like it has light to medium coverage. It covered my acne scar and my dark circles really well. It doesn't feel heavy on my skin, which is really nice. The only thing I wasn't too crazy about was that it has more of a dewy finish, which isn't a big deal. I just prefer a more matte finish, like the matte and poreless gives. Dewey finishes are really nice in the summer time though. But other than that, I was pretty impressed with this foundation!

Here is my face with no foundation. Please excuse the derp face, forgot to take an actual picture so I took a screenshot from my video haha!

Here is my face after applying the foundation. As you guys can see it covered the redness on my face and my dark circles.

And here is a picture of my face with a full face of makeup on with the foundation. As you guys can see, it does leave a dewy finish.

So overall, I do really like this foundation! The coverage is nice, just don't really like the dewy finish it has.

Over on my YouTube channel I did a demo and first impressions of this foundation:

I found this at Ulta for around $8. You can pick this up at any drugstore.

Have you guys tried this foundation? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!
