Lorac Pro Palette: Review & Swatches!

I am so excited for this blog post! As you guys know, I recently finally got my hands on the Lorac Pro Palette. This is a palette that I've been wanting for a really long time but just never bought. This palette is absolutely gorgeous! I just can't describe to you guys how much I love this palette! Also, a huge shoutout and thank you to my Auntie for buying me this palette!

The palette itself is actually pretty thin. It's not super bulky, which is nice because it won't take up too much room in my makeup collection. The palette has a smooth feel to it. Along with the palette you also get a mini size of the Lorac Behind The Scenes primer. For some reason I didn't take a picture of the primer, but it's not too bad! I found it kept my eyeshadows on all day and they didn't crease. I've heard that this primer is great for people with oily eyelids. I don't have oily eyelids so I can't tell you if that's true or not.

The palette comes with 8 shimmer eyeshadows and 8 matte eyeshadows. I think it has such a great variety of eyeshadow colors. These eyeshadows are so buttery and pigmented. The first time I swatched the palette, I just couldn't believe how pigmented the eyeshadows are! These just apply so nicely and blend really well. I just love how there's enough matte eyeshadows that if you wanted to do a completely matte look, you could.

Now it's time for swatches! The first picture is of the first row. Cream is pretty close to my skin color, so it's really hard to see the swatch of that one.

This picture is the swatches of row 2!

You can find this palette for around $40 at Kohls, Ulta, and the Lorac website!

What do you guys think of this palette? Let me know in the comments!

Music Festival Inspired Outfits!

Music festival season is officially upon us, and it's time to start thinking about what you're going to wear to all of the different festivals. Today, I want to help you guys with that! I picked some of my favorite pieces from different websites and made some outfits for you guys.

1. Classic Maxi

Maxi dresses are a music festival trend that I don't think will ever go out of style. I think they're super cute, and really comfortable.

2. Denim & Flowers

Denim shorts are seriously a must have for music festivals! They're super cute and comfy. I paired distressed denim shorts with a black top and strappy sandals. This might be my favorite look out of all of them! If you wanted to accessorize this look, I would say go with gold jewelry or gold accented sunglasses. I also put a backpack with this outfit. I think backpacks are amazing to take to festivals because you can put all of your stuff in it easily like snacks and water and other stuff you might need.

3. Kimono Style

Kimonos are really in right now, especially to wear to a music festival! I think they're super cute paired with denim shorts and a crop top. For shoes, I picked black booties. I think black booties are super cute paired with outfits like this one. For accessories, I would go with gold jewelry.

I hope this gives you some ideas on what to wear to music festivals this spring and summer! Let me know in the comments which outfit you liked best. :)

Spring Inspired Makeup Tutorial!

Hi guys! So I know it's been a little while since I've posted and I apologize for that. Life has been kind of crazy and I'd like to do an update post for you guys here on my beauty blog, because I do most of my lifestyle posts on my lifestyle blog Cats and Cappuccino. Anyways, I thought today it would be fun to do a spring inspired makeup tutorial! I haven't done a tutorial in a little while and April Fools Day just seemed like the perfect day to post a new tutorial.

This is a spring inspired look. I was really inspired by the colors of spring flowers and things coming back to life in spring. Like the leaves turn green in the spring. I used a lot of pink in this tutorial but if you recreate it you can use whatever colors you want because there are SO MANY different colors of flowers. I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial! It's different than anything I've ever done before!

Oh yeah…APRIL FOOLS! :)

Did I get you guys with this tutorial? Let me know! I thought it would be something fun and different. Hope you guys at least got a chuckle out of it! :)

Have a great Wednesday! :)

Monday Questionnaire: March 9th, 2015

1. How do you start your morning?

I get out of bed and make a cup of coffee. That is literally the first thing. There's a rule in my house where you can't talk to me until I've had coffee. I'm almost like a zombie, I'll hear you talking but it's like I don't understand what you're saying? People have told me that they've asked me stuff before I've had coffee and I don't remember them saying anything to me at all. If that doesn't show how addicted I am to coffee, I don't know what will!

2. What's the craziest makeup look you've ever done?

Halloween 2013. I did my makeup like a pop art comic person. It didn't turn out exactly like I wanted but, I thought it was pretty cool!

3. Do you have any food allergies?

I don't! Sometimes I think I'm allergic to gluten but, sometimes I do okay when I eat it. So I don't really know haha.

4. Current nail polish:

I'm wearing gel nails! It's the Gelish polish in Angel In Disguise

5. What's your most recent awkward moment?

In case you didn't know, I'm a very awkward person so I tend to have awkward moments like everyday. My most recent one was the other day when I was waiting on the mailman. He was supposed to have a package for me, so I wanted to get it as soon as it got here. Well, I never heard a knock on the door or anything so I thought he'd already been here so I went to check the mail. Just as I opened the door he was getting ready to knock on the screen door. We both looked really surprised to see each other! It was kind of awkward.

Now here's where you guys come in! Copy the list of questions and answer them in the comments below!

Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Corrector Moisturizer: Review!

Skincare is something that is really important to me. I was always afraid that I would struggle with acne, so I began using products really early. Luckily, I never got acne. The first moisturizer I ever used was the Garnier Skin Renew. When I first bought this moisturizer 6 years ago, I didn't know anything about it. I didn't really know which moisturizer to choose but, I knew that Garnier was a really good brand so I picked this one up.

My number one favorite thing about this moisturizer, is that it has an SPF of 28. I think it is so important to use products with an SPF on your face, just because your face is really sensitive to sun. I don't really have any dark spots on my face but, I do have naturally red skin. I also have a spot on my face where I always breakout and that spot is usually pretty red. This moisturizer really evens my skin tone, making me not look so red. I love that it's hydrating and not greasy.

This is a moisturizer I see myself continuing to use for years. I've already used it for almost 6 years, so if it's still available, I'll keep buying it!

What do you guys think of this moisturizer? Do you use any Garnier skincare products? Also, what is your favorite moisturizer? Let me know in the comments! :)

Monday Questionnaire: March 2nd, 2015

Happy Monday! :)

1. How was your weekend?

You know, it could've been better haha! I pretty much fully recovered from the stomach flu this weekend but then I started feeling like I was catching a cold. So now I'm fighting a cold after the stomach flu. But I'm eating fruit now which is SO much better than saltine crackers haha.

2. What color clothing do you wear the most?

I wear a lot of different colors but I'd say I wear dark colors the most. Like black and grey. I used to wear a lot of bright colors but, as I've gotten older I'm reaching towards darker clothing. Plus, black clothing is slimming so that's nice too.

3. If you could redecorate your house, what would you do?

I would change all the doors in the house because some of them don't close properly, which actually isn't the doors fault it's the house's fault because the house isn't level. I would rip out the kitchen and put new cabinets, countertops, and appliances. I'd also put new floors in because in the office there's this floor that chips and gives me splinters. :(

I'd try to make the style of my house more modern. And I'd revamp the entire upstairs bathroom but keep the claw foot tub because I LOVE it!

There's a few more things that I'd do but, it's too long of a list for a Monday Questionnaire post!

4. Current nail polish:

5. What do you order at Starbucks?

I usually get a cappuccino. But if I want something cold I'll either get an iced caramel macchiato or a light coffee or light mocha frappuccino.
